Craig was asked to participate in the Illawarra Academy of Sport ‘Savvy Leadership’ event held at the Novotel Northbeach on Saturday December 11. Alongside local sporting legends Kezie Apps (St George Illawarra NRLW), Maddy Eaton (IMB South Coat Blaze netball), Glen Saville (former Australian Boomer and Illawarra Hawks Basketballer) and business leader Anthony Perkiss (CEO Illawarra Credit Union), we formed the panel for a Leadership workshop with around 100 members of Team IAS.
The panel discussed the many aspects of leadership, what it takes to be a great leader and answered questions from the audience. The kids then broke into groups for a fun exercise selecting cartoon characters and identifying their leadership traits that would make a great leader for them.
Craig is looking forward to working with the IAS to further develop the leadership skills of these young sporting stars and everyone at Team IAS!
